In the far future at the edge of a dying earth cleansed of all mortal life by the impending implosion of the sun, only immortals survive. Gilgamesh, a mythic king of ancient Uruk-haven, has lived without purpose for eons yearning for his next dance with death.
When he encounters a strange man from ancient lore, he is given a quest worthy of myth: to defend the nascent incarnation of the Spirit of Nature and usher a new era of life. Confronted by familiar characters of world mythology, both friendly and hostile, Gilgamesh must again draw his sword to defend the rebirth of a world that has long perished.
